Damage Mechanism Affecting Fixed Equipment In Refining Industry

OBJECTIVE
Response
Damage Mechanisms Affecting Fixed Equipment in the Refining and Petrochemical Industries provides an in-depth understanding of over 60 different damage mechanisms that can occur to process equipment. It emphasises on fixed equipment damage mechanism and mitigation procedures. Equipment damages have been resulting in unplanned shutdowns, lower profitability, reduced plant reliability and safety. Analysing the damage mechanism and applying suitable mitigation techniques can protect the equipment from damage.
This training course covers broadly the topics from API 571 such as different types of damage mechanisms include low temperature and high temperature corrosion, corrosion under insulation (CUI), soil corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, sulfide stress corrosion cracking, wet H2S cracking in sour environment, corrosion damages in refinery primary and secondary units, material degradation, carburization, graphitisation, temper embrittlement, hydrogen embrittlement and sigma phase embrittlement.
TOPICS TO BE COVERED
- Principle of Corrosion
- Low Temperature Corrosion
- Environment Assisted Corrosion Cracking (SCC)
- High Temperature Corrosion
- In-Service Damage Mechanism.
- Corrosion control in CDU, VDU and Coker units.
- Corrosion Control in Hydroprocessors, FCC and CRU
- Corrosion control in Amine treating, SRU and sour water treatment, pipeline and storage tank
- Q&A
